Welcome to Bridges

We help children build the tools they need to be engaged in their community in the most inclusive way possible and go the extra mile to support the people that love and care for them.

We have temporarily closed our Social Skills groups to comply with recent AHS COVID-19 restrictions. However, that won’t stop us from learning together. We will continue our social skills program in a one-on-one setting either in-home or in a classroom at our program building. We will be running online sessions for each of our groups beginning December 7th. If you are interested in having your child participate, contact our office as soon as possible.

If you require staffing over the holidays when our programs are closed, connect with us to arrange the staffing you would like over the Christmas holidays (Dec. 21 – Jan. 8). We’ve got this, everyone!

The “tween” years are often the hardest for many children. This is especially true for our clients. It’s why we’ve expanded to offer a unique program that helps our clients in grades 6-8 develop the skills they need to better understand the hidden – and sometimes painful – social rules that are a big deal in school and with peers.

Bridges Consulting is a people company. We’re a multidisciplinary team that works collaboratively to meet the needs of every child we work with. Along with the members of our senior staff, we have a passionate group of Behaviour Coaches who are trained to provide the best support for all of our families.

Our approach puts children and family first in everything we do at Bridges, which means asking what’s needed rather than telling what’s best. We do this not because it’s easy, but because we know from experience it’s what brings about the most positive outcomes for the children that we work with.

To meet the growing needs of children and families across Southern Alberta, we now have three locations where a wide variety of dynamic, inclusive and unique programs are offered. In each of our locations, our goal is to provide our clients with a place where they feel they belong and are celebrated for being who they are.

Who We Are

Bridges believes in a family-centred approach to helping children gain the skills they need to reach their potential. The focus is on building the children's success skills through meaningful, targeted supports.

We provide small group programming and individual consultation and support to families with children who have a range of developmental deficits.

Our primary focus is on building the foundations of social thinking, behaviour and language needed for success. Our approach is governed by research-based practices and Applied Behaviour Analysis.
