Welcome

Registering for our summer program is simple. Just complete the form and we will take it from there. Keep in mind that a separate form is required for each child you are registering. And also ... space is limited, so be sure to register as soon as you can. Once we receive your forms, Bridges will send out confirmation e-mails to families beginning May 15th to let you know we have registered you for the days or weeks you request. You will receive a package that includes your 2022 registration forms. ALL forms will need to be returned before your child can attend the program. Program Selection

Please select the program you are interested in your child attending and indicate the days of the week you would like your child to attend. You will be asked to specify the time of day you're requesting at the end of the form.

Week of July 4-8: Love to LARP
This week Live Action Role Play is used to delve into understanding relationships, theory of mind and problem-solving. We will work on our own and together to create costumes and props, and solve conflicts as we work our way through a fantasy world created for us. Please select the days of the week you would like your child to attend this program.

Week of July 11-15: Adulting 101
The future awaits! This week we will explore the kinds of responsibilities and choices that will be part of growing up. We will look at the skills needed for independence and set goals for an exciting future. Please select the days of the week you would like your child to attend this program.

Week of July 18-22: Amazing Race
Using inspiration from around the globe we will work together to solve problems, practice group communication and use our flexibility. We'll also discuss hidden social norms and when and how they change. Please select the days of the week you would like your child to attend this program.

Week of July 25-29: The Great Escape
You don’t need dark alleys and fedoras to be a part of this week's Great Escape! We will explore hidden social rules, and look for clues in people's behaviour and body language. We will work together to solve puzzles in order to escape from various situations. Please select the days of the week you would like your child to attend this program.

Week of August 2-5: The Zombies Attack
While the "undead" don’t really walk the earth, this week we will be inspired by a Zombie attack. We will have to work together to save our community. We will focus on group communication, problem-solving, and flexibility as we attempt to stop the zombies. Please select the days of the week you would like your child to attend this program.

Week of August 8-12: Myths and Legends
Do you have a favourite Legend? If you could create a mythical creature what would it be and why? Legends are more than just a story of a hero. They can teach valuable life lessons in the process. Please select the days of the week you would like your child to attend this program.

Week of August 15-19: Survive This
A plane crash, a nuclear waste spill, a natural disaster! This week is all about how working together sets us up to achieve more. We'll practice communication, self-regulation, focus and attention, not to mention working with others. Please select the days of the week you would like your child to attend this program.

The week of August 22 – 26: Invent, Create, Explore and More
Can you invent an item within the “budget” you have been provided ? Can you create a new way to do something you have always done? This week work as teams to master flexibility, problem solving, communication, and goal setting. Please select the days of the week you would like your child to attend this program.

Week of August 29-31: Relationship Rescue
We all have relationships. This includes our friends, parents and siblings. How can we make sure that we are making the most out of our relationships? To explore this, we'll be working on compromise, negotiation, flexibility, understanding feelings and thoughts and how they impact our behaviour in relationships. Please select the days of the week you would like your child to attend this program.

We schedule staff based on your selections so please consider your vacations, days off, etc. Programming is in place from 9:00-4:00. Before and After Care are available from 7:30 am to 9:00 am and from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

Who We Are

Bridges believes in a family-centred approach to helping children gain the skills they need to reach their potential. The focus is on building the children's success skills through meaningful, targeted supports.

We provide small group programming and individual consultation and support to families with children who have a range of developmental deficits.

Our primary focus is on building the foundations of social thinking, behaviour and language needed for success. Our approach is governed by research-based practices and Applied Behaviour Analysis.
